PRODUCE
Produce begins at origin.
At Amramphalam, produce is developed through a source-first approach focused on freshness, suitability, and market readiness. We work across grower networks, greenhouse-linked production, and semi-controlled to controlled cultivation environments to identify products that match demand, seasonality, and handling requirements.
What we focus on
We focus on product selection at the source, not only at the point of shipment. That means evaluating variety, harvest timing, handling conditions, and post-harvest readiness before product is moved into the export chain. The goal is simple: protect product quality from the beginning, not try to fix it later.
How our produce framework is executed
Our produce framework starts with origin mapping and supplier alignment. From there, we move into product-level review, physical checks, source verification, and shipment readiness assessment. Depending on the product and supply chain, this can include grower verification, handling-facility checks, batch review, visual inspection, and review of supporting quality or compliance records.
Where required, our process is supported by export-side documentation connected to recognized regulatory and food-safety systems. This may include APEDA-linked export documentation, FSSAI-linked facility documentation, commodity-specific plant quarantine / phytosanitary documentation, and supporting records for applicable residue or quality checks. APEDA is India’s Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority, and FSSAI is the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India.
Quality and verification
Quality verification is built into the produce stage, not treated as a last-minute checkpoint. Our review can include:
- product identity and variety confirmation
- physical inspection and visible condition checks
- origin and facility verification
- packing and handling readiness
- review of available test or residue documents where applicable
- shipment suitability based on destination-market requirements
- Production network
Our sourcing approach is designed to work across a broad cultivation base. This may include:
- open-field growers
- greenhouse-linked farms
- semi-controlled growing environments
- controlled-environment production where available
- This gives us flexibility to support both seasonal programs and more structured supply requirements.
Framework references include:
- APEDA-linked export documentation
- FSSAI-linked facility documentation
- plant quarantine / phytosanitary documentation, where required
- commodity-specific quality records
- residue documentation aligned to applicable market requirements
- traceability and shipment-supporting records
